Chemical cleaning includes removal of dirt, oil and grease, and the oxidation products present on the surface by means of chemicals. The chemicals may be applied by wiping, spraying or dipping. The type of surface preparation depends upon the object shape and base metal. 
Dip Tank Pretreatment Systems, also called immersion pretreatment are generally used for long & heavy components or lots of small parts in one basket.
